Chiropractic Treatments

Our chiropractic tratments may incorporate massage therapy, different methods of physical therapy, rehabilitation, and acupuncture so patients are able to experiece the full benefits of chiropractic.

Massage Therapy:
Massage therapists use manual soft tissue manipulation to increase the patient's health and well-being. Treatments are provided that can improve circulation and muscle relaxation, reduce stress and musculoskeletal pain and help prevent injuries.

Physical Therapy:
The purpose of physical therapy is to help the patient build strength, flexibility, and endurance. Physical therapy combines heat/cold therapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulating, and massage with exercise as part of rehabilitation.

Heat/Cold Therapy:
Pain from backaches, arthritis, and similar disorders often responds well to heat therapy. By increasing the temperature in selected areas of the body, this treatment enhances blood circulation and helps muscles to relax, reducing stiffness and increasing mobility.
Often, moist heat works better than dry heat.
Because of its ability to prevent swelling, cold packs are often the treatment of choice directly following
a strain, sprain, or other injury.

Ultrasound Therapy:
Ultrasound is a form of deep heating in which sound waves are applied to the skin and penetrate into the soft tissues. Ultrasound is especially useful in relieving acute episodes of pain and may enhance tissue healing.

Electric Stimulation:
Electrical stimulation is used to modulate the sensation of muscular pain by overriding the painful signals
that are sent to the brain.
